Cold Carolina morning Brrrr

Yesterday, Jamie and I paddled and Scott and Pat surfed in the knee/thigh high left over Sunday wind swell waves. The west winds became stronger up to 20 knots as the morning progressed. Temp in the mid-upper 40's and water temp 53*f ..It was tough to stay in one spot. Being on top of the Stand Up board and when you stopped paddling up wind you were blown backwards.. Had the camera on the beach but took no shots of us on the Stand Ups. Here are a couple of shots of the Sunrise walking up the path shared with a few good friends.

People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don't even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, sunrising on a cold morning, experiencing nature around us, sending a smile to someone, the blue curious eyes of a child -- our own two eyes. All is a miracle.
