Paddle with my Bro...

Had a beautiful day down in Florida, my younger brother, Jay' and I decided to go for a paddle on the Weeki Wachee river. A natural spring flowing towards the Gulf.. Super clear water and full of life. Seen one Manatee that startled us surfacing from a deep section of the spring. . Its a real neat place to Paddle and experience one of Florida's untouched settings.

Weeki Wachee is about 1 hour N. of Tampa and 2 hours west of Orlando. Not only do they have theme park attraction but the state park and Weeki Wachee  8-9 mile river to the Gulf is worth seeing.
There are several sight seeing tours and kayaking available but best on a SUP..
...google and check out the area.

Starboard's New IQ handle for the 2015 models

The new IQ handle is constructed from EVA to provide a soft and comfortable feel when carrying the board.
The handle itself is designed as two separate compartments. The outer layer is made of ABS and compressed into the EPS core and then secured with a layer of glass. The EVA handle is then fitted into the box sealed with a layer of silicon.
This means the EVA handle is not fixed internally to the board, eliminating the chance of cracking or damaging the glass of EPS core.
The large size and inside grip allows for generous hand sizes to produce a great fit.
go to Star-board.com for mor great technology and board designs.

Tom Curren, A Lesson in style... , J- Bay

A Lesson in Style… Tom Curren's clearly still got it. Mixing it up with a couple of choices from his quiver, in this recent footage from J-Bay, he proves that he'll probably never lose it.

Monday Morning NE swell

Scott and I caught some fun waves this morning. A waist high NE fetch moved in overnight making for some fun waves.   The waves stood up on the inside bar making  for top to bottom  wave shape. Beautiful clean conditions early then the NE winds picked up as the morning progressed chopping up the surface.

..here is a one-two sequence trying to squeak in..
