Hunting Island SUP session

Jesse Cadman and I headed over to Hunting island State Park for an early sunrise paddle surf. We had 1-2 ft very clean waves peaking off the jetties. The colors from the sunrise as a back drop looked outstanding, the small fun waves we paddled into and the peaceful session of being isolated in the State Park was priceless. Here are some of the pics below. Looks like we'll have to make some more trips to Hunting Island, especially when a swell is in town. The set up for Stand Up Paddle Surfing is awesome. Being involved with its special moments, able to experience and share in the parks beauty in an honor and privilege. ... WE WILL BE BACK!

We returned to Hilton Head for low tide and paddled out to the Jointer Banks. We hit the third sandbar that was exposed. 3-4 miles out. We had small clean knee high waves peeling for 50-60 yards along the bar. Just some long rides on the Stand Ups. Lasted for about and hour and a half. We named the break , JG's, for Jesse and Glen... Was a great SUP day..
Tonight's surf report was onshore wind w/ 1 foot waves. Very high tide so waves mushed out . Look for glassy surf in the morning w/shin to knee high surf. Maybe Paddle 'able.. Will take a look. The buoy's wave heights have dropped to 2 ft.. This = small to no surf...

Jesse on a right slider going regular foot.
Glen on a warping little left.

Glen on the sunrise peeler, The pic makes a great Screen saver..
