St. Augustine session today..

Drove down to Fla today visiting Mom and stopped in St. Augie for some clean glassy waves. 2-3 ft and SUP'er fun near 10th St.. Paddled up and down the beach catching waves on the sandbars with warm clear water seeing lots of bait and fish all around. Tarpon jumping outside the surfline. The water was full of life. What I discovered is the need to make more trips down here. Change of scenery is nice but the only thing missing was my friends..

Hunting Island Surf trip ..

Headed to Hunting Island State Park early for the sunrise surf session. Waves were 3-4 ft with some head high waves. We surfed thru the tide swing and 3 hours after high tide. 5 hour surf session. Seppe, Jesse, Jordon and I had the waves to ourselves. Hunting Island is just an hour from Hilton Head with better surf but seems a world away from Home.

Ohana 14 ft TR

A Boardworks 14 ft TR ( Training/Racing) board by Ohana. Will be nice to paddle long distances on a board made for distance than a slower allround board. .. When I get on the board I'll take pics and give a review.

Ohana developed the 14’ TR (Touring/Race) to be an all around board for any level of paddler. However, once prototyped and tested we found this board to be extremely stable and very fast as shown in the Catalina Challenge by taking first place in the Womens’ division. The cutting nose entry and stable rail and bottom contours make this shape perform extremely well in rough and windy conditions into the wind, down wind and mixed swells. In flat water conditions the 14’ TR is the most quiet board we have developed.
The 14’ TR is constructed with 1 pound EPS foam, epoxy resins over 2 layers fiberglass top and bottom with another layer within the console area. Deck is gloss and polish with a sanded bottom finish. Shape includes a domed deck to repel water over the top surface and a flat console for foot placement. Console runs out the tail to remove any water which may wash onto the deck area.
Dimensions
Height: 14'0..

Width: 28"

Thickness: 6"

Fins Included: Single Box, 9" Box Fin
Construction EPX epoxy
