Winter Chill in Feb.

Some fun waves on Monday. 

Air temps in the low 40*F 's and water temp 46*F  . Cold conditions for Hilton Head, SC.

 Needed a dose of saltwater therapy.

Water is getting colder but always stoked to catch some waves.

Getting back to the roots.

I was able to secure  a 10-0. Mike Hynson and a couple of Lightning Bolt from Craig Hollingsworth

Dropped the paddle for the summer and surfed. Great to paddle into waves as when I first learned to surf in 1975.   Still stoked after all these years.  The journey continues.

Outer Shoals SUP Adventer. Named Uncle Johns

My buddies "Byron, Harry, Alex" and I boated 4-5 miles offshore in from of Tybee Island Ga. were we saw whitewater breaking off in the distance. As we arrived where the waves were breaking, I jumped on my SUP and paddled into several waves. Maybe the first to ride waves there ? Who Knows?  Midway through the session Harry and Byron Boated bye and Said we are naming this break after my Dad, John,  So the break became know as Uncle Johns. Honored to name a break after my dad.. MAHALO BRUDDAH's

Felt soon good to get back in the water.. SUP'er foggy this morning and loved  surfing alone.. 

Couldn't see the the beach nor the sets outside.. Visibility was less than 100 feet
