Paddle orientation at H2O Sports

Guests caught me doing the short paddle orientation for their family before heading out to paddleboard. Upon looking at the video, there a few things that need altering.. Great teaching tool. What is great is this demo gets them out on the water then we work on the paddleboarding techniques. Its all about getting them to stand up and experience the thrill of ''Walking On Water'' ................Sharing the Passion...

Just a little taste of some waves we scored at Hunting Island today. Waist to chest high surf all day long. Got there at 10:30 am with fun low tide barrels. Increased size into and thru high tide and into 6 pm , as waves continued to peel with the offshore winds all day .. Will post more picks as I get them.

Thanks Will Warner, for sending us waves . You were there with every wave and ride..

Shane Dorian quest for a board

My surfboard shaper, John Carper, was contacted to get involved and when he approached me about it I thought it was a great idea,” says Dorian. “That was the first board I have ever shaped. Brewer cut the outline and handed it off to us, and with JC barking orders at me, I grabbed the planer and went to work.” By the time the board was finished, it had been touched by some of our sport’s greatest craftsmen, including Dick Brewer, Gerry Lopez, Rory Russell, and Randy Rarick. “I am happy with the finished board,” says Dorian. “It is meant to be a vintage design—one of Brewer’s old templates.”
