Pics of my friends this past week..

Sunday, Jesse and I experimented with the GoPro camera and here are a few shots he took from his board cam. While I was in Florida , John and Jamie surfed on Christmas day. The head high + , lumpy waves made the best gift you cant put under the tree.

1st Go Pro point of view session...

Purchased a Go Pro camera from a buddy and today I experimented in the knee high surf. I'm pretty amazed at the quality footage and pics that it took. Jesse received a Go Pro for Christmas too and he was out for the first time also experimenting. Need so see his footage. Looks like I will be using this point of view for awhile. Now I can shoot some of my SUP fishing outings next.. The view of the camera mounted on the deck makes the waves look larger than it was. Its knee high but always fun that's why I Stand Up cause' it makes the small marginal days a blast.

I like my new toy....

Day after the Birth of Christ..

Having just returned from Fla, I arrived to fun thigh high SUP waves on a brisk winter day... Jamie, Tim and I on the Stand Ups and many friends surfing the left over Christmas Waves. I heard it was big, powerful and lumpy yesterday, in the head high plus size. All were sharing and giving each other waves. Tis the season'

MERRY CHRISTMAS ! ! !

My Mom has this statue of this Kneeling Santa.
Impactful to me...

I just love this image of Santa SUP...
Long ago, A glittering star led the way to a Holy Child....
and today it is said that snowflakes are tiny pieces of that very star,
sent to lead our hearts anew to Jesus,...
The Light of the world.
''Wishing you all a healthy, happy holiday and very Merry Christmas."
'' Peace be with you,......Glen"

Yesterday's Video session....

Jamie flows on the wave, as always , Scott started to use his paddle obtaining leverage on turns and I'm stoked my ankle is healing so I can get back on the water..

Foggy, Grey Morning at 2-3 ft = Fun paddle surf waves

Jamie, Scott and I traded fun little thigh high waves in a thick foggy grey morning. Glassy waves made for SUP. Was a full out going tide session with a few waist high peaks. Took video but will edit and post later. Going fishing first....

Tow in SUP Peahi

This past week Hawaii saw huge swell as Waimea's big wave contest called '' The Eddie'' took place and on Maui the tow in crew charges big waves. Here is a SUP rider getting towed in the wave. Not the biggest wave for JAWS, but a wipeout with a 3 story all of white water pounding you like a rag doll. Its stil a beating..The board continued riding the wave as the surfer get tossed around for a bit then gets picked up by the water patrol..

Awesome day on the SUP

We had some fun little waves in the thigh high range. Perfect for SUP . My ankle is feeling great and I'm able to put a lot of strain and stress on the foot while on the Stand Up. . The brace Jamie lent me allows me to continue to fuel my passion of SUP by getting me on the water and waves. Fun morning. Mahalo Jamie..

Then I went Stand Up fishing in the Shelter Cove basin and marsh area. Must of caught close to 15 red fish and trout. One trout was close to 20-22 inches. All on lures. Awesome day off..

What I've noticed over the years is that Fisherman and Surfers flock together. When you catch a few waves in one spot someone paddles over, and another, and another.... When one is catching a fish it seems a boat anchors near you, and another.... JUST AN OBSERVATION.

Back on my feet again !!!!!!!!!!!

I was reborn and baptized this morning. ''Back on my feet again.'' Borrowing Jamie's ankle brace gave me the strength and confidence needed to get out and paddle surf. Concentrating on the waves and not my injury. Its been 5 weeks being beached and today was the one of the better days. I was just taking it all in. 3-4 ft clean waves, comfortable weather, all friends in the water., Priceless... Thanks Jamie.

Tim Neil took some shots from this morning.

This was the drop, adjusting to pull in grabbing the rail getting in there for a moment
only to have the tail track up and over my head..
Worth every moment..

Looks fun doesn't it..???

Surprised to see waves today...

Dispite the forecast stating; S winds at 15-20 knots and small craft advisories, I awoke to calm winds and waist high surf. Couple of surfers out gettin' some. Took a few shots this morning.
The ankle feels good and I'm ready to get in the surf. Borrowed Jamie's ankle brace so just gonna look for a cleaner day to get out there.
