Massive destruction in New Jersey...

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of my friends and relatives who's life has been altered by the ''Super Storm Sandy'' . It's just amazing how the power of nature can unleash it's fury causing mass destruction  and at other times be so peaceful and  beautiful...
Hope to hear from all those up there ..

The only mode of transportation in some flooded areas.  Paddle..

Wekiwa State Park Paddle

My brother and I paddled Wekiwa River , a State Park in central Florida, north of Orlando.  Its a natural Spring that flows eastward thru the Park . Its Tree lined Oaks and Cypress that hang over the narrow river with lilly rafts floating along the banks.  The wild life is abundant from Gators ,Turtles, a variety of Birds  and water is teaming with fish that find cover along the organic flotsam
Crystal clear water allows great visibility as you paddle along the river. A peaceful silence of a forest thats deafening to the ears.. A really cool place to loose yourself or find yourself. Spending time with my brother experiencing paddling in the State Park was second to none. He's heading over to Afghanistan for a year continuing preservation of our freedom..  Thanks Bro.. Love ya

Here is the link to the State Park .....

Down in St Augie .. .. again..

Went down to visit my family this week and stopped in St. Augustine to surf with Heather Musselman who just recently relocated to N. Florida. We caught some great clean waist to chest high waves in the morning. I surfed for 4 hours.  Its amazing how the better quality waves allows one to surf better and do more maneuvers each wave.  Super fun session.
Heather pulled her truck on the beach with her puppy, NALU, and was able to enjoy the new life of Florida living. Good Luck Heather.. We'll miss you on our waters but will visit often..

2-3 ft Surf , Clean little walls

Some fun left over waves from the strong wind swell from yesterday. Thigh high waves and low wind made for a great morning on the SUP. Scott Allen, Mark Wray ,Doc Roberts John Heidal and I shared some fun waves. I had the camera on the paddle then nose for awhile then went swimming taking pics of the SUP crew in the water. Here is the result. Jerri W. Paddled out on on my old Starboard Wide Point Silver but only surfed for 1/2 hour..
