Pickney Paddle Sunday.

Very windy conditions from the ENE at 20 knots. So we paddled on the westward side of Pickney Island. Troy Ah Yo, Giuseppe Piccone , Jesse Cadman and I explored the high tide shallows out of the wind. Seen schools of redfish in the weeds and oyster beds. Great day paddling with great friends.. Here are some of the pics from today..

The redfish say, ''a school of paddle boarders ''

Troy joined us today....

fun and clean this morning

Jesse Seppe and i paddled in the fun clean waves earlier this morning. Clouds made for a spectacular backdrop for the GoPro . Jesse trunked it with a top in the 51*f water. Numbness on the brain perhaps.. No..!!!! He hates wetsuits.

Fun clean 2 ft waves

Small fun waves today perfect for SUP after not having any surf for a couple of weeks. The sun was shining which made being in a wetsuit not too bad. Seppe and I shared waves in the incoming tide. The best part of winter is knowing its almost over..

Testing the Boardworks 10-0 PSH WAA

Giuseppe floated a Boardworks PSH 10'-0 Wide Check SpellingAA in the frigid knee high surf. He wanted to see how the board will float and possibly catch waves. Its lower rocker and flatter bottom made it very stable . Not a great day of waves to see its performance. Funny is that Boardworks 10 WAA is lighter in weight than my older molded epoxy 9'-6'' PSH Wide AA..Would like to compare the two 9'-6'' s mine (older model ) and the new BW model.

Cold but happy to get on the water..

Small waves
Largest wave today.

Super Bowl Sunday Paddle on Skull Creek

Big Shaka
good to be alive...

Seppe jammin' on the race board

Seppe and I paddled on the north end of the Island on Skull Creek.. Calm wind, flat water, sunny in the upper 50's .. Was a great morning. Came across a sunken shrimp boat near Hudson's Seafood. Water was clear and you can see the whole boat underwater. Unheard of for the the Low country.. Need more of these days.
